he was born in Karl-Marx-Stadt / German Democratic Republic.
1974 - 1976
professional training as computer programmer.
from 1976 to 1987
he works in different employments (theatre, advertising agency, silkscreen printing).
besides occupation with printmaking art techniques and experiments in visual arts.
1982
the admission of a study at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig was prevented by security service of GDR.
1986
admission as an autodidact into the federation of educating artists of GDR.
since 1987
free lance actively.
1989
joint founders of the Art Association "Laterne", Chemnitz (member until 1992).
1994
work scholarship of the donation culture fund Berlin.
1996
work stay in Lodz, Poland.
1997
work stay in the Artists House Cuxhaven.
1999
leader of the international symposium of printmaking art "ironia".
2009
stay as artist in residence in Tampere / Finland.
he lives and works in Chemnitz
